What this covers
Every way you deal with TMB — the site, the store, the forms, and the phone.
This policy covers tmbbaking.com and the information you share with TMB Baking through it: the contact, quote, and ask-an-expert forms, the newsletter, the smallwares store, and calls to the counter. It applies whether you are pricing a proofing basket or planning a whole bakery. It replaces the policy dated March 18, 2016.
What arrives on its own
Your browser sends the usual technical record.
Like nearly every site, this one records log data: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and when you visit them. Cookies keep your cart together and help the site remember you between pages. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings; parts of the store — the cart, mostly — may stop working if you do.
How your information is used
To answer you, ship to you, and improve the site. That is the list.
Your information is used to reply to your questions, prepare your quote, fulfill and ship your order, send the newsletter you asked for, and understand which pages earn their keep. You can leave the newsletter any time — the unsubscribe link is in every issue, and one click does it.

Your information is not merchandise.
TMB does not sell your personal information.
Your choices
Ask, and it will be shown to you, corrected, or deleted.
You can ask what information TMB holds about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion. Write to contact@tmbbaking.com or call the counter; you will hear back within one business day, and the request is completed as quickly as the systems allow. Order records that tax and accounting law require TMB to keep are the one exception, and you will be told if it applies to your request.
Security
Careful, not invincible.
The site runs over HTTPS and your card is handled by a dedicated payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and you should not trust any site that claims otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, you will be notified as the law requires.
Children
This site sells bakery equipment to businesses.
The site is not directed to children, and TMB does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information here, write to the counter and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
The date at the top is the date that counts.
When this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. A material change gets a prominent notice on the site before it takes effect.
